What’s your relationship to Metro EDGE and/or Emerge Summit? I have been part of Metro EDGE since 2015 and am excited to help bring forth a dynamic, diverse, and engaging day of sessions that will further the personal and professional goals of the wonderful young professionals of Sacramento!

What do you love about Sacramento? Growth, diversity, and spirit. It’s such a vibrant city that is constantly growing, while still staying close to its roots. It is full of everything a young person would need and has a cozy, genuine authenticity.

Why would you recommend the Emerge Summit? We are putting on a day you’ll carry on with you and into your everyday careers! It’s inspiring and motivates you to achieve those dreams you’ve putting off to the side. Connecting with young professionals in your community will only enhance your personal and professional life in Sacramento.

How have you made your mark on Sacramento? Definitely not, but I have sprinkled little seeds in places and will nurture them to grow. I have a passion for education equity which led me to work with City Year Sacramento, and now Educational Testing Service serving California public school districts. I hope to make my mark in these spaces to improve the educational experiences for all students.

One thing that people would be surprised to know about you? I used to be a Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Ocean Discovery tour guide and befriended dolphins.
